OUR SUPPORT GROUPS:
-
LSG’s are a weekly support network for those in addiction recovery. A typical LSG meets anywhere from 1-2 hours once a week.
-
The purpose of our LSG’s is to provide the community with a trained network of volunteer lay leaders who will be able to listen, support, and guide those who are struggling with addiction and recovery.
-
The leaders use a biblically based curriculum that cycles through every 7 months. The curriculum is designed to help identify a person’s false core beliefs, which hinder them emotionally, psychologically, relationally, and spiritually, and replace those false core beliefs with God’s truth so they can live in freedom from bondage through establishing their identity, purpose, and community.
-
A successful and long-lasting recovery must include healing and change in mind, body and spirit. In Mark 12:30 Jesus said, “and you shall Love the Lord your God with All your heart, and with All your soul, and with All your mind, and with All your strength.” Addiction affects all those aspects of our being and lives, therefore, all these facets are deeply intertwined and to ignore one or more of them calls for one’s unhealthy lifestyle to repeat itself. We must address and guide those in recovery from a holistic perspective guiding and ministering to them in mind, body and soul.
